UNIDES - Mathematics Stage Activity in Villages

The Giresun University Mathematics Education Community has completed the activities of its project, “Prospective Mathematics Teachers in Professional Development: Workshop on the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Mathematics Education and Mathematics Stage in Villages,” which was awarded funding under the UNIDES program run by the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The second part of the project, “Mathematics Stage in Villages,” was held on May 16, 2025, in Kurtulmuş Village. The project was led by Berat SEMİZ, a 3rd-year student in the Primary School Mathematics Teacher Training Program, and advised by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Funda AYDIN ​​GÜÇ, a faculty member from the Department of Mathematics Education. Students from Yıldız, Yüce, and Kızıltaş villages also participated in the event. The event provided prospective teachers with the opportunity to conduct mathematics teaching activities with students, while also offering students the chance to experience innovative learning practices. Certificates of appreciation were presented to those who contributed to the project by Eser Günay, the principal of Kurtulmuş Village Secondary School.
