Prof. Dr. Cemalettin YILDIZ, a faculty member of the Primary School Mathematics Teacher Training Program at Giresun University's Department of Mathematics Education, conducted a lecture titled "History and Philosophy of Mathematics" at the Elbistan Science and Art Center between May 19-24, 2025. This event was part of the "Visualization and Concretization in Mathematics Teaching with TeknoMOD" project, supported by the TÜBİTAK 4005-Innovative Educational Applications Support Program. During the event, mathematics teachers working in middle and secondary schools learned about the relationship between mathematics and philosophy, activities related to the philosophy of mathematics, the origins of mathematics, the benefits of the history of mathematics, the use of the history of mathematics as a tool and an end in itself, and ways to apply the history of mathematics in lessons. The presentation increased the teachers' awareness of mathematics, the philosophy of mathematics, and the history of mathematics. Furthermore, the teachers gained valuable information on how to use the philosophy and history of mathematics in their lessons.
