Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Cemalettin YILDIZ, a faculty member of the Primary School Mathematics Teacher Training program at Giresun University's Department of Mathematics Education, a "Rebus Introduction" event was organized by graduate student Ebru Nida ÖZELER for third-year mathematics teacher candidates in the A1.3 hall of the Faculty of Education on April 16, 2025. The event began with a presentation on the historical development of rebus, a type of intelligence game, and explanations of the rules of rebus questions. Following this, different forms of rebus, "Rebusmatic and Rebusmetry Questions," were introduced to the participants. After the introduction, examples of rebus questions were solved together with the participants. Subsequently, participants created rebusmatic and rebusmetry questions and solved them in groups of two. Finally, a few volunteer participants posed their questions to other teacher candidates. Thanks to this event, the teacher candidates' awareness of the use of rebus questions in mathematics lessons increased. In addition, prospective teachers gained valuable information about "Rebusmatic and Rebusmetry Problems" that they can use in their mathematics lessons through this activity.
