Giresun University participated in the “International Quality Assurance and Accreditation Conference” organized by the Council for Quality in Higher Education (YÖKAK) and hosted by Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University on April 25-26, 2024. The conference, held to bring together scientific developments, innovations, experiences, and different perspectives in the field of quality assurance in higher education, brought together stakeholders from international and national quality assurance agencies, accreditation bodies, and higher education institutions. Among the participants were our Rector Prof. Dr. Yılmaz Can, our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şahin, Rector's Chief Advisor and Accreditation, Academic Evaluation and Quality Coordinator Prof. Dr. Mustafa Şanal, and Assistant Coordinator Dr. Firdevs İclal Karataş Aydın. The event featured scientific presentations and panels discussing current issues in the field of quality assurance. Dr. Lecturer Firdevs İclal Karataş Aydın, Assistant Coordinator of the Accreditation, Academic Evaluation and Quality Coordination Office of Giresun University, also participated. Dr. Lecturer Firdevs İclal Karataş Aydın delivered a presentation titled "The Impact of Institutional External Evaluation Programs in Turkish Higher Education: The Case of Giresun University" at the session titled "The Effects of Quality Assurance".
