On May 6, 2025, Prof. Dr. Cemalettin YILDIZ, a faculty member of the Primary School Mathematics Teacher Training Program at Giresun University's Department of Mathematics Education, organized a "University Visit" event for 7th-grade students and two accompanying teachers from Bulancak Gazi Middle School. The event began at 12:00 PM with a meeting in front of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences to inform the students. After introductions, a meal was shared in the university's cafeteria. Following this, the Dede Korkut Amphitheater in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences was shown to the students, and a group photo was taken. The Rectorate building, canteen, and library were then toured. Students examined the university's books and were shown study areas. Finally, Prof. Dr. Hasan Hüseyin AKSU, the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education, answered the students' questions about Giresun University in detail and listened to their comments. The students generally asked questions about the library. These questions included how many books the university had and whether they could use the library. Another question concerned why the faculties were located in different districts. In the final stage of the trip, the students were hosted in the office of Prof. Dr. Cemalettin YILDIZ, who organized the event. Here, the students' attention was drawn to the books and intelligence games. Prof. Dr. Cemalettin YILDIZ provided detailed information to the students who asked questions about these; finally, the students and teachers were seen off. As a result of this event, the students had the opportunity to get to know the university closely and their future career goals were shaped. Seeing the university up close increased their motivation regarding the university and their interest in the teaching profession increased. In addition, this event allowed the students to dream about their future.
