The Department of Mathematics Education organized TÜBİTAK 2209-A project experience sharing and project idea sharing activities to provide students with opportunities to participate in scientific research processes. Within this scope, a seminar titled “TÜBİTAK 2209-A UNIVERSITY STUDENTS RESEARCH PROJECTS APPLICATION AND EXPERIENCE PROCESS” was held on April 15, 2025. In the seminar, Serdem Yavuz, a Master's student from Dokuz Eylül University, and Emine Geçit, a Master's student from Trabzon University, shared their experiences regarding the TÜBİTAK 2209-A projects they conducted during their undergraduate studies. Prospective mathematics teachers studying in the Department of Mathematics Education had the opportunity to learn about and ask questions regarding the planning, execution, and reporting processes of completed projects specific to the field. Students were informed that an event was planned for May 5, 2025, where they could present their project ideas. Within this context, a “Bring Your Project!” session was held. During the session, students with project ideas suitable for the TÜBİTAK 2209-A project call had the opportunity to present their project ideas. Faculty members offered suggestions for improving the project ideas they listened to, while students also had the chance to express their own ideas. Project-academic advisor pairings were also made according to their areas of expertise.
