On May 9, 2025, a "Library Introduction and Orientation Training" event was organized for first-year mathematics teacher candidates in the Primary School Mathematics Teacher Training program at Giresun University's Department of Mathematics Education, moderated by Prof. Dr. Cemalettin YILDIZ, and presented by Lecturer Esma ŞENER and Librarian Özlem CAN in the Karadeniz Conference Hall of the Faculty of Education. During this event, teacher candidates were first given information about the library and its history. Then, they were informed about how to access books in the library and how to access the library from outside the campus. Finally, detailed explanations were given about borrowing, reserving, and extending books from the library. Through this event, teacher candidates had the opportunity to ask questions about the library and receive firsthand answers from library staff. The event increased the teacher candidates' awareness of library use. Furthermore, the event helped them better understand the importance of reading and accessing books.
