Microteaching Practice Activity

Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Cemalettin YILDIZ, a faculty member of the Primary School Mathematics Teacher Training Program at Giresun University's Department of Mathematics Education, a microteaching practice activity was organized for 9 fourth-year mathematics teacher candidates throughout May (2025). As part of this activity, videos recorded by the teacher candidates in a real classroom setting were first viewed. After all participants watched the videos, feedback was given to the teacher candidates regarding their classroom performance. Subsequently, Appendix 8 (for the supervising instructor), Appendix 12 (for the person conducting the microteaching), Appendix 13 (for other teacher candidates who will evaluate the microteaching), and the microteaching evaluation form (for all participants) from the teaching practice guide were completed. This activity provided teacher candidates with many benefits, including the opportunity to observe themselves and their colleagues professionally, identify their shortcomings, and better understand the classroom environment and students.
